I’m suffering from devastating soul-crashing lows/I have no energy or interest to do the littlest things
The experience of psychosis can lead you to feel like you’re no longer your usual self. People around you might tell you about some of the things you said and did whilst you were experiencing psychosis. The realisation of what happened during your psychotic episode might leave you feeling ashamed and lead to low mood.
Most people go through periods of feeling a bit blue. This isn’t the same as being depressed – when you feel persistently sad for weeks or months, rather than just a few days. Depression affects people in different ways and can cause a wide variety of symptoms, including lasting feelings of unhappiness, hopelessness, losing interest in the things you used to enjoy and feeling very tearful.
